About Me

I am pursuing my Master's in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from New York University. At NYU School of Professional Studies, I am strongly involved with the Student Council and served as the Graphic Design Chair of the Graduate Student Council for 2020-2021. 

I have worked for several non-profits and was working as a Marketing and Communications Intern for The Village Alliance. Over the past year, I have engaged in school activities contributing as an Orientation Leader, planning and hosting events, and welcoming students for Fall 2020. I also interned for Media4Humanity, an organization dedicated to eradicating child trafficking from America, and ManhattanManhattan, a real estate website. Currently, I work for the American Caribbean Maritime Foundation as a Social Media Manager. My distinct way of seeing things, simple observation, evaluation, and intuition help me understand individuals, their needs, and act accordingly. 

I pursued my passion for writing and a love for literature, graduated from St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad, India, with a major in English Literature. During my time at Xavier's, I volunteered in organizing and managing events. Coordinating events, communicating with the students and speakers, handling queries, and managing events have helped unveil a manager's dynamic personality in me. I began my career working at an environmentally conscious enterprise; BioFics Pvt. Ltd. as a writer and a graphic designer that added to my experience of being a writer and even acquainted me to the field of public relations. Occasionally working with the digital marketing team, I realized the importance of generating brand awareness and maintaining a corporation's image. For a brief period, I was a part of Mahadev Stories Worth Sharing Private Limited, a digital content production company. My key role was to edit videos that were to be posted on YouTube but was also responsible for editing pictures for social media. Working as a photo and video editor with Stories Worth Sharing allowed me to know people across the globe and get my hands on social media marketing that added experience and perspective to my work.
